Let’s Grow Together!
I don’t recall the actual time and place that I heard this quote. But When I did. I repeated it.
“If You Are Not Growing You’re Dying”
And after the second time of saying it out loud. I realized this quote would always stick with me. The quote would become my sidekick. I would travel with her, gain enlightenment from her.
The saying hit home and resonated for many reasons.
I was at a stalemate with my business and career. My growth had stalled like a lawnmower left winterized. I had stopped moving. CJS was going through the same daily procedures. You know the “we are still alive attitude!” We had been stuck on auto-pilot. Trucking through the same old motions. These motions had not encouraged us to grow until we let that beautiful quote resonate.
We all get stuck in the sand, it traps us. And our days become routine.
When we drive that same route every day our subconscious takes over and boom…..we are on autopilot. To provide our clients with the best possible service we have to continue to grow.
The growth process is one of our favorite things to do as small business owners.

Here is what we are currently involved in. Island Cleanups – We have teamed up with Keep Pinellas Beautiful. This has been such a rewarding experience. kayaking, island hopping, and hauling trash. Virtual House Concerts – When COVID 19 hit we knew that we had to make adjustments so we transitioned… to an online format. This format offers our clients a chance to have an intimate Virtual House Concert. These concerts are held in a private Zoom room, with your own friends. The process is easy and affordable.
Interactive Podcast – Have you ever listened to a guest on a podcast and had unanswered questions? This happens to me all the time. I remember an interview where I had more questions than takeaways. It was at this point that I decided to start an interactive podcast via Zoom called Creative Talks. My guest are able to take part in the podcast. This is more than a show it’s a chance to be part of the experience. Watch the beginning of the series on Youtube.
Creating Daily – Each day I take about 15 minutes out of my workday to create. My goal is to break away from the computer or a mundane task. I usually sketch, play legos with the kids or write a speech. By doing simple exercises, you are giving your brain a chance to tinker around with a new perspective.
