Here is a “Let’s Get Organized And Stay On Track” is a quick reference for your event planning How often do you get to sit around the office and listen to music without getting in trouble? Before we get started, let us jot down some notes and read some helpful guidelines. These simple pointers will help keep your event planning organized and on track.

Who’s attending?

Get to know your audience.

Our first goal is to understand who will be attending the event. This knowledge will play a huge factor in the decision-making process. Our audience is our top priority so we must forgo our musical preferences. Book live music based on demographics, not emotions. If you have an elegant evening a Jazz band would be perfect. If you are looking at throwing an unforgettable high-energy party then a Rock Band or DJ would suit you best. If you need all attendees engaged then a dueling piano show is going to fit best. Narrow down both your mission and audience and the entertainment will fit into place.

Expectations, Lay it down like a track.

Stating your expectations can help clear away confusion. Entertainment acts often play with no clear objectives. We want to avoid this at all costs. We want to make sure that the bandleader or DJ understands our engagement. Here are a couple of things to think about.

  • Will you need announcements made throughout the night?
  • If so will the band or DJ make these announcements?
  • Do the set times coincide with the event?
  • Do you have any song requests?
The more details you are able to provide beforehand the more time you will have to enjoy your event.
