Utilizing Word of Mouth Marketing

Utilizing Word of Mouth Marketing

After almost two decades of customer service,  I find that most businesses have forgotten or neglected the most important factor. The Customer.

Capture A Personal Referral and grow your business With Word of Mouth Marketing

In today’s society. Social Media plays a huge part in our marketing efforts. The majority of businesses use social media formats to market and advertise. The internet has captured the way we perceive to sell and buy our goods. With so much emphasis on media outlets, we have forgotten how to interact with our best source of revenue. The Customer.

Let’s take a close look at the hospitality industry.

What would make you return to a new establishment? Would it be the food? The ambiance? Or the service? Or a combination of all three?

One of the first things I learned about customer service was the ” Corner Bar Theory. ” This theory always stood out. It originated from T.G.I Friday’s. ” Make everyone feel like a welcome guest in your home. ” Even if they are from far away. This simple gesture goes a long way.

When you create a feeling of being at home or at ease. You create a movement. This transcends into word-of-mouth marketing.

Before social media outlets. We spent time getting to know our customers. It was in these efforts that customers saw our enthusiasm and passion. And spread our motives throughout the community.

This past weekend I visited a new Brewery. The owner and bartender both introduced themselves and took the time to make us feel like we were at home. Not only did they engage with us in conversation but they remembered our names. This simple effort goes a long way.

Effortless employees and customer service has become the norm lately. Too many companies have put all their energy into updating their media. While the lonely bar patron looks for another watering hole. Take back your customers by Conversing and Interacting with them. Make everyone feel like a welcomed guest. And grow your business with word of mouth marketing.
